Hey, I’m The Lockpicking Spoon (Spoonyspoon on Discord) and I, along with my friends in the LPU, decided to make a second document, so now we have made a country-specific list of tools to get a picking hobby started!

= New and Not Sure Where to Start? =

Your budget will be the main factor in what you get, but a good starting point is the Pick &amp; Tension Tool Sets. You generally want a couple of common hook profiles (a short hook is 100% mandatory, and an offset hybrid or euro hook makes a nice side piece to that), maybe a rake or two, and a mix of tension wrenches. That’s all you need to get started opening pin tumbler locks. Don’t feel like you need to spend a fortune right away. In this hobby, most of your money should be going to locks, not tools.
